Kashmir Lit is an endeavor to support Kashmiri and diaspora writers or those interested to write about Kashmir by:

providing a world place platform to share their writing
creating awareness of Kashmiri writing and cause
generating a credible resource on all things Kashmiri
garner support from people interested in Kashmir and Kashmiri writing
creating opportunities through virtual and real-life workshops, classes and online interactions

Kashmir Lit, the word 'Lit' should not be confused with being short for "Literature" as in popular parlance. It is to be read as a whole word which means "set afire or burning".
